Ass: Barcelona vs. Royal Society is expected to play at Cruyff Stadium, Barcelona vs. Paris will play at Montwhic

Ass reported that the venue for Barcelona and Real Sociedad is about to be finalized, and the Barcelona city government and club are planning to meet next Tuesday to discuss the location of Barcelona's match against Real Sociedad on September 28.

There are currently three alternatives, but according to the Ass, the Olympic Stadium has been completely excluded. Although the competition time is advanced from 9pm to 6:30pm, the city has notified the club that all entrances to the area will be closed after 8pm as fireworks music performances will be held at the fountain of Montjoch Mountain at 10pm that day.

In view of this situation, the city considers only two options: Camp Nou or John Cruiff. However, since the Barcelona Club has not submitted a certificate of completion, the technicians are unable to inspect the new stadium and approve use. In addition, the city pointed out that it is nearly impossible to complete all inspections of such a large-scale project in just five days, even if the club submitted relevant documents by Tuesday. The municipality also warned that the September 28 ban sign set up around Camp Nou is just a precaution: they must notify the public a week in advance, but that does not mean that the event will be held there.

In this case, John Cruiff Stadium seemed to be the only viable option for this game. If finalized, this will be the third consecutive event held at this venue, but its capacity is very limited, with less than 6,000 seats.

However, it will be certain that this will be the last time, as the Montjoch Stadium will be open from October 1 and will be opened for the first time in Barcelona's second round of the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain this season.
