New Zealand team Auckland City lost to Bayern 0-10 in the Club World Cup and suffered a crushing defeat in the first game. British media BBC revealed the huge financial gap between the two teams and the income from participating in this cup. The article stated that Auckland's total revenue in the last fiscal year was NZ$1.1 million (about £488,000), while Bayern's revenue was 951.5 million euros (about £810 million). The weekly salary limit for Auckland City amateur players on the team is 66 pounds (Note: Auckland City does not pay wages, only symbolic subsidies), while Kane's weekly salary at Bayern is as high as 400,000 pounds. A player with the highest income in Auckland has to play for 117 years to earn 400,000. In addition, Auckland City, as the only team to represent Oceania, will receive a prize of 2.6 million pounds, while European clubs will have a prize of 9.9 million to 29.6 million pounds.
