Fleken: Judging from the performance in the first half, we still have many problems to solve

After a 2-1 victory over St. Pauli, Leverkusen defender Fleken said the team would continue to move forward and focus on the next game.

You feel more about liberation than satisfaction in today's victory?

—Absolutely. Especially after making mistakes that lead to conceding goals in such games, the feeling of relief is always stronger. Therefore, I am very pleased that we were able to take three points home today. There is actually nothing to say about that goal conced. Just a slight contact caused me to lose control of my right hand and then caused the ball to go in. This kind of thing happens, which is a pity. We will keep moving forward and focus on the next game.

Does this victory mean that the team has taken a step forward?

—I dare not say that. Judging from the performance in the first half, we still have many problems to solve. But we started back in the second half like a real team, and we accepted the challenge both defense and offense. For me, being able to take three points home is indeed a relief.

Regarding the issues that need to be solved before Wednesday's game

- This is not something that can be solved overnight. Of course, you always have to play as cleanly as possible. We made too many simple mistakes in our own offensive organization in the first half. This is easy to lose control of the ball, be forced to chase the ball, and give the initiative to St. Pauli. They make good use of it.

Under a period of pressure from St. Pauli, we scored, but then made another mistake, and the score became 1-1, and we brought them back to the game. As I said before, we performed better in the second half and finally got lucky to win the game.
