Lewandowski responded to age concerns: I can still contribute a lot. My reduced playing time will help the season.

Recently, Lewandowski's future has become a hot topic. The Polish striker's contract with Barcelona expires on June 30, and his future is up in the air considering he will turn 38 in August and has gradually lost some importance this season. In an interview with Team Poland, Lewandowski said age will not prevent him from continuing to play at the highest level.

"I feel that I still have a lot to contribute." Lewandowski said in an interview with TVP Sport. This interview was conducted after Poland's match against Lithuania, in which he scored a goal for the Polish team. This was also his 87th goal for the national team.

Faced with those who criticized his performance and always focused on his age, Lewandowski responded. "When people try to find some aspect of me to explain the problem, they always say that I am old, that I can't run, or that I lack motivation."

He said frankly: "These are nonsense. Just look at the distance I run on the court, so I don’t agree with these statements. Of course, I also realize that at my age, reducing game time may help the entire season.”

As the Poland captain, Lewandowski understands the need to appropriately adjust his playing time, but he emphasized that he still goes all out in training.

"I'm not saying I'm a victim of age, but some people take advantage of that, but I feel good. Obviously, I don't expect to play the full 90 minutes every game. But once I get on the court, I know I can handle it, and it doesn't make a big difference because I still perform well in training. So, in that regard, I feel like I still have a lot to contribute."
