Zubimendi: Tah is the top coach in Europe. Last year, the Gunners were the only one who could truly compete with Paris in the Champions League.

Tonight, Arsenal will play a friendly match with AC Milan, and new aid Zubimendi is expected to make his public debut, after he made his first appearance in a closed-door friendly against Watford.

Zubimendi said: "That time was not easy to try to make the best decision for his future during the period when the transfer rumors were rampant last summer."

"The first question I had to answer was whether I wanted to leave Real Sociedad, and that was not the right time. I felt that Real Sociedad gave me more opportunities and I still had a lot to learn, so staying at Real Sociedad was the best decision for me."

Zubimendi hit it off after a phone conversation, and Zubimendi said that Arteta's "obsession" with "details" was one of the reasons why he wanted to join the club.

Zubimendi said: "I don't know what he saw in me, but I think he is one of the top coaches in Europe. When I left Real Sociedad, I wanted a coach of a high level. I think I found him. In just a few days here, I've seen him meticulous in every aspect of the game, so I think he's the one."

Zubimendi also said that he is learning "a lot" from the new coach.

Zubimendi said: "I think I'll try to do something I haven't done before. Playing in that position, I will try to bring balance and play my well-known passing ability. Besides that, I believe he will ask me to do something new."

Zubimendi is an important signing for the Gunners, and fans hope he can be a catalyst to help the club open a new era of winning trophys.

Zubimmenti said: "I hope so, the most important thing about this club is that they can learn from past seasons.
