Each sport: Boyan has been qualified as a sports director, serves on the Barcelona Sports Committee and serves as Deco Assistant
Daily Sports reported that the Barcelona club already has two sports directors. In the summer of 2023, Deco officially joined Barcelona's sports structure and served as sports director. In the same year, Boyan Kerkic also joined the club's sports committee and obtained qualification certification in the field. Therefore, the Catalan club now has two qualified candidates to serve as sports directors. Former Barcelona player Boyan successfully completed the 6th Senior Football Sports Director Course jointly organized by the Royal Football Association and the Sports Research Center of King Juan Carlos University. Other well-known figures such as Juan Pablo Solin and Virginia Torresilla also participated in the course. In this way, Boyon obtained the qualification certificate of sports director. It is worth mentioning that after retiring, Boyang decided to follow in his father's footsteps. His father worked in Barcelona's scouting department from 2007 to 2011 and from 2017 to 2020. Therefore, Boyan joined the club's sports committee, which is currently composed of Boyan, Chairman Laporta, Vice Chairman Rafa Ust, Joan Soler, the head of youth training, Enrique Masip, the chairman's adviser, and sports director Deko. Since joining, Boyan has been the bridge between Lamacia players and other young players. In addition, he became Deco's right-hand man and played a key role in Frick's signing process, who had met with the German coach in London. Nevertheless, this title makes him a more qualified member in the club's organizational structure. From Linyola, he participated in the course at Las Rosas Football City from January 27 to May 5. A total of 10 live classes were conducted: once in January, twice in February (2nd and 24), three times in March (3rd, 10 and 24), three times in April (7th, 21st and 28th), and the last time on May 5th. During this training, Boyang has the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills in areas such as competitive skills, institutional management, law, finance, communication, marketing and public relations, and new technologies. In addition, different lectures are taught by high-level professionals in the football world. To complete this course, Boyon was able to participate with his status as a former professional player and with a UEFA B and A coaching certificate. He must attend at least 75% of the courses and must write a graduation thesis on research topics related to football.
