Marca: Bad weather ahead of Spain vs Georgia match, turf condition may be affected

In the early hours of Sunday morning, Spain will face Georgia at home in the World Cup preliminaries. "Marca" reported that due to bad weather conditions before the game, the turf condition may be affected.

The Spanish national team plans to fly to Elche after completing training at the Football City and having dinner at the station tomorrow afternoon.

As a precautionary measure, the national team has formulated a backup plan. Meanwhile, Georgia has been stationed in Alicante since Monday, with weather forecasts calling for the heaviest rainfall tomorrow.

The risk is expected to be significantly reduced by Saturday, so in principle there is no risk for the Spain-Georgia game. One possible concern may be the condition of the turf, although the turf at Elche's home ground is exemplary in terms of care, maintenance and protection.
