Neville & Keane talks about Rashford: Can you adapt to La Liga and get a question mark. Barcelona is different from 10 years ago

In the latest episode of the Stick to Football podcast, former Manchester United player Gary Neville discussed the gains and losses of the transfer window.

He mentioned: "The last one is Rashford's transfer to Barcelona. I know it's not a big signing for the Premier League, but it's a great transfer for him personally. I hope he can perform well. I think his departure reflects the club and his poor performance in the past few years. But I really hope he can get back to form. What an important transfer."

Then, Roy Keane interjected and asked : "Do you think he has enough football intelligence to adapt to different leagues, different football styles and lifestyles? Whether on and off the court, does he have enough wisdom to deal with it all? Obviously he is a talented player. We know his advantage lies in running and inserting behind the opponent's defense. But he seems to have reduced this style of play recently."

Neville went on to point out that since Barcelona often has the advantage of possession in the game, Schford may face similar problems as when he was at Manchester United: "Roy, this is in Barcelona. I may still be thinking about Barcelona ten years ago. I know the situation is a little different now, but they still dominate many games, they tend to put pressure on high positions, and their opponents shrink their defense. I think Rashford is more suitable for counterattack tactics and play better in a small space."

Keane interrupted Neville's analysis: "This is what it is. Why I have a reservation about this transfer. "

However, Neville finally supported Rashford to regain his momentum in Barcelona: "I know he usually moves on the left, but when facing intensive defense, we often see him dribbling out of bounds or appear a little frizzy. But it seems his confidence is recovering."

Keane also said: "I would say this is a successful transfer, hoping to have a positive effect."
