Photograph: Mueller invests in children s furniture startup, and his team invests seven figures
According to German media Bild, Bayern veteran Mueller has now become an investor, and he recently invested in a children's furniture startup. The report said that Mueller invested in the children's furniture startup "poptop" in Treiskirchen, Lower Austria, and the investor team led by him invested a total of seven figures (millions of euros) to participate in the project. In a press release, Mueller explained his investment motivation: "poptop rethinks children's furniture with style, functionality and responsibility. Happy customers, huge markets and strong teams are the best explanations in themselves. It is possible to develop into a truly amazing project, and I am very happy to be involved." The company was founded by Christian Batesdeka and Marcus Ilenfeld, the founders of children's and teen bicycle maker woom, who focus on the development of adjustable height children's desks and other children's room furniture. The new fund invested by Mueller and his team will be used for product innovation, brand building, international expansion, and the construction of an international sales network. The company's long-term goal is to become a market leader in children's furniture, with annual sales exceeding 100 million euros. Marcus Ilenfeld said: "Our mission is clear: we want to completely change the children's room - for the future generation of more independent and creative children. This is also the core goal of all our behaviors and product development." Christian Batesdeka added: "We used woom to build a children's product into a world brand. Now it's the next turn. Poptop should be the new benchmark for children's furniture."
