Correction after ESPN article was published: James was notified through his agent before the Lakers were sold
Recently, ESPN reporters Ramona Shelburne and Brian Windhorst jointly published an article describing the relationship between James and the Lakers. However, Lakers reporter Trevor Lane found that there is currently a modification in this article. The original text originally read: "When the Bass family agreed to sell the Lakers' major equity to Mark Waters on June 18, Doncic received an early notice and congratulated him on social media. James did not receive the same notice and did not make any public comments afterwards." The passage has now been changed to: "After this article, the source revealed that James was notified of the sale through his agent. But he did not make any public comments on it."
