King Host: DeRozan s joining the Warriors is not as crazy as people think
According to famous reporter Shams and ESPN Warriors reporter Slater, Kumingga rejected the Warriors' 2-year offer of $45 million. Shams then added that the Kings offered a conditional first-round pick and a potential rotation player in negotiations with the Warriors. Today, Kings host Allen Stiles said on social media: "Demar DeRozan's joining the Warriors' substitute is not as crazy as people think. The Warriors need more scoring points, and DeRozan just fits the team's plan for the next two years, and his contract for next season is not guaranteed. In addition, Devin Carter and a second-round draft pick, the chips in this deal are enough." Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler's contracts will expire in two years. This season, DeRozan played 77 regular season games, averaging 35.9 minutes per game, scoring 22.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists, and shooting percentage of 47.7%.
