Executive: The Celtics may participate in some big deals, but are not in a hurry to send Anthony Simmons away

According to Heavy Sports reporter Sean Deveney, the Celtics are not in a hurry to send Anfeni Simmons away.

reported that the league generally believes that the Celtics will seek to trade Simmons because Simmons is not in the team's long-term plan after Jason Tatum recovers from an Achilles tendon torn injury next season.

But the outside world also believes that the Celtics are not in a hurry to reach a deal. "No one can tell, but their current lineup is likely to be their new season roster," said a general manager. "They may get themselves involved in some big deals, but they are not in a hurry to push (about Simmons) the deal."

In previous deals about Ju Holiday, Simmons was traded to the Celtics by the Trail Blazers.
