Sangwell, a former Clippers defender who played in Xinjiang last season, was arrested for domestic violence and child abuse
According to US media Hoops Wire, former Clippers defender and star Cindarius Sanwell, who led the University of South Carolina to the NCAA final four in 2017, was arrested by police on Tuesday on Tuesday on charges of second-degree domestic violence and child abuse, and the Richland County Sheriff's Office confirmed the news. Sangwell's lawyer confirmed to the State that his client was released after being detained and paid $25,000 in personal bail, and he issued a statement saying that Sangwell was not acquitted. Sanwell was selected by the Bucks with the 48th overall pick in the 2017 draft, and since then began his career with the Clippers, playing 160 games in the NBA, averaging 2.5 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. Since then, he has been to overseas leagues such as Germany, Türkiye, Poland, etc., and has recently played for the CBA Xinjiang team in the 24-25 season.
