According to Heat reporter Barry Jackson, the Heat are still inspecting center Kay Jones. Sources revealed that the Heat will continue to try out Kay Jones until Thursday as they are still on the lookout for the experienced center/power forward. Kay Jones does not meet the two-way contract conditions, and the Heat already have 14 standard contract players. The Heat may sign another 15th player before the start of training camp or at the beginning of the season. According to previous reports from US media Sportando, Italian club Virtus Bologna is close to signing center Kay Jones. 24-25 season, Kay Jones played 40 games for the Clippers and the Mavericks, averaging 5.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.6 blocks per game, and 11.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game in 12 games.
