Mr. Mu officially goes to court with Paris! Mbappe claims 240 million euros, Paris demands 180 million euros in compensation

On November 17, local time, the wage dispute between Mbappe and his old club Paris Saint-Germain was heard at the Paris Labor Arbitration Court.

According to "Le Parisien", Mbappe requested 240 million euros in compensation for the losses he suffered when he left the team in the summer of 2024. The France international also accused the former management of failing to convert his short-term contract into a long-term contract and owed 55 million euros in salary and bonuses.

Mbappe, who had previously left the French team's training camp due to an ankle injury, did not appear at the court hearing.

Paris Saint-Germain also made its own claim. Paris is said to have demanded a check of 180 million euros from Mbappe, accusing him of breaking his promise not to leave the club as a free agent.

Paris Saint-Germain's legal team disclosed a 300 million euro offer from the Saudi League during the trial, pointing out that after the player rejected the offer in July 2023, the contract was not renewed and the club failed to receive transfer fee compensation.

Paris Saint-Germain condemned Mbappe's team for constructing a "fictional narrative".

In the summer window of 2022, Real Madrid offered Paris 180 million euros in order to sign Mbappe. But he was strongly rejected by Paris. In the end, Paris managed to keep Mbappe and complete the contract extension.

In June 2024, Real Madrid officially announced that Mbappé would officially join the team. Mbappe ultimately transferred on a free basis, leaving no transfer fee for Paris. Paris first hopes that Real Madrid can provide certain compensation, but Real Madrid has no such intention. In the end, Paris chose to "withhold" Mbappe's salary and bonuses totaling 55 million euros.
