Nuggets five players in history averaged 27+ first in the league in a single season, but no one has ever averaged 30 points per game
Today, basketball blogger Brett Usher counted the Nuggets' average score in the history of the Nuggets. Brett Usher wrote: "The Nuggets have never had a scorer who averaged 30 points per game, which is crazy - you should know that they have five players averaging at least 27 points per game, the most since the league merger!" According to statistics, the Nuggets' highest average score per game in a single season was Alex Inglish (29.8 points) in the 1985-86 season, while Nicola Jokic ranked second in the history of the team with 29.6 points last season. Players who have averaged at least 27 points per game in the Nuggets' history include: Inglish (4 times), Jokic (2 times), Chichi Van derwich (1 time), Cameron Anthony (2 times) and David Thompson (1 time).
